Terms of Service
Effective 27 September 2026
In short: VehicleProof helps you record and organise your vehicles' condition, history and documents. Your content stays yours. Reminders and scanned text are there to help, but you're still responsible for your renewals and for checking details. Paid plans are billed and cancelled through the App Store or Google Play.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and FoundryOps, a business of Mohamad Akmal bin Mohamed Abu Bakar in Malaysia ("we", "us"), for the VehicleProof app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
- Give accurate account details and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us promptly at vehicleproof999@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
- Your plan may limit how many devices can use your account at once.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
3. Your content
Vehicles, photos, inspections, records, documents and notes you add ("your content") remain yours. You give us permission to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you, including reading scanned documents and producing reports you ask for. This permission ends when your content is deleted, apart from backups, which expire as described in the Privacy Policy.
Only add content you have the right to use. If your content includes other people's personal details, such as a co-owner's name on a registration card or a renter's details, you're responsible for having a lawful reason to record them.
4. What the Service does and doesn't do
- Evidence: inspections are timestamped, and each photo is fingerprinted so later changes can be detected. This supports your records, but we can't guarantee that an insurer, court, rental company or buyer will accept it. How it's weighed is up to them.
- Scanned text: reading receipts and documents is automated and can make mistakes. Check the details before saving or relying on them.
- Reminders: renewal and service reminders are a convenience. You remain responsible for renewing road tax, insurance and other legal requirements on time. A missed or late reminder doesn't change that.
- Nearby places: results come from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or out of date.
- No professional advice: nothing in the Service is legal, insurance or mechanical advice.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law, or record people or vehicles without a lawful reason;
- upload malware or content you have no right to share;
- create fake or altered evidence, or misrepresent a vehicle's condition to others;
- access other people's accounts or data, probe or attack our systems, or get around limits or security;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
6. Plans and payment
- Free plan: available with the limits shown in the app.
- Pro subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price is shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's policies.
- Enterprise plans are agreed with us directly by quote. The agreed terms apply alongside these.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in your store account too.
- We may change prices or plan features for future periods. Price changes to subscriptions are announced in advance, as the App Store and Google Play require.
7. Third-party services
Some features rely on other services, such as Google Drive, Google or Apple sign-in, and the app stores. Your use of those is also covered by their own terms. Files you keep in your own Google Drive are under your control and Google's terms.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve, change or retire features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires, and we'll tell you why unless we're not allowed to. Where possible, we'll give you a chance to export your content first.
10. Liability
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, fines or penalties for missed renewals, or decisions others make based on your records. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law, including under Malaysia's Consumer Protection Act 1999.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
